Who We Are
The South Boston Moms Club is a growing, 700+ member nonprofit community of moms in South Boston, connected by a shared love for this neighborhood and a commitment to showing up for one another through every stage of motherhood.
We’re focused on building a strong sense of belonging in Southie and the Seaport, where families feel supported, included, and genuinely connected to the people around them. As parents who have chosen South Boston as our home, we’re committed to making it a welcoming and engaged community where families can grow and thrive together.
What We Do
SBMC creates meaningful opportunities for moms and families to connect, build friendships, and feel supported throughout every stage of motherhood. We host a variety of gatherings throughout the year — from seasonal playdates and family events to moms’ nights out and social gatherings for parents, along with informal meetups that bring people together in real, everyday ways.
Alongside our social programming, we organize service projects, donation drives, and community initiatives that support local families and strengthen our neighborhood. Our goal is to create both connection and impact — building a community where members feel supported while also giving back to the place we call home.
Why It Matters
Motherhood can feel isolating, especially in the early years. SBMC exists to change that by creating a built-in community where no mom has to navigate it alone.
At the same time, we believe strong communities are built when people show up for each other. More than 70% of our annual budget is reinvested directly into local families, programs, and support efforts — strengthening South Boston in both everyday connection and moments of need.
